For Luther, music was a practical art closely tied to theology,
to be used in the praise of God and in the proclamation of the Gospel.
In keeping with Luther’s philosophy the
Mission of the Music Ministry at Grace is to:
through liturgy, psalms,
choral and instrumental anthems,
and traditional and contemporary hymnody.
and strive to bring our very best
to worship each Sunday,
by sharing God’s love through music each Sunday and
carrying the message of God’s love through music
beyond the church walls.
The Ringers of Grace
The Ringers of Grace are a dedicated bunch of musicians who joyfully "ring as one" on three octaves of handbells. They perform about once a month at the 10:00 service and for special occasions. Rehearsals are every Sunday from 12:30 – 1:30 in the choir room in the education wing. New members are welcome to join or just visit at any time.
The Chancel Choir is a very dedicated, talented group of musicians of all ages who willingly and joyfully share their God given gifts as they lead the 10:00 a.m. worship with liturgy, hymns, and anthems on Sunday mornings and special services, offer special music at Easter and Christmas, and Christmas carol to shut-ins.
Annual Christmas Cantata
Each year our ensembles join with a chamber orchestra comprised of musicians from the local community to lead the congregation in a wonderful Christmas Cantata Worship Service. The Glory of Christmas, by Lloyd Larson will be offered at 10:00 on Sunday December 15th. All are welcome.
