Women's Ministry
Women's ministy at Grace includes a variety of women's groups: Lizzie-Estelle, Mary-Martha, RBTW and Dorcas. Each group meets together monthly for fellowship, study, and outreach ministry. Women at Grace also have opportunities to attend retreats together and to connect with other women of faith in the North Carolina Synod and across the ELCA. Check out the Women of the ELCA (WELCA) organization website to see more about the great opportunities to serve our neighbors and each other happening throughout the nation.
Lizzie-Estelle Women's Circle
The Lizzie-Estelle group is a wonderful group of faithful women who gather together once a month for some refreshments, Bible Study, and fellowship with one another. These relaxed style meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of each month in the Grace fellowship hall. This fun group has activities geared to ministry to the church and to the community. They do this by supporting many organizations in the community such as the Hunger & Health Coalition, Oasis, and more! They also support the many ministries of Grace in many different ways! For more information please contact Carol Norris or the Grace office.

Reading Between the Wines
Reading Between the Wines is a Grace women’s book club that started meeting. The group usually meets the third Tuesday of the month at a local restaurant at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the selected book.
All women are encouraged to join in reading the monthly selection even if they are unable to join the in-person discussion.
If you are interested in joining, please contact Kathy Griewisch at graceboonefinancial@gmail.com .

Mary-Martha Women's Circle
The Mary-Martha Circle enjoys spending time together meeting on the first or second Sunday of each month. At the meetings there is time for visiting, fellowship, refreshments, and a devotion, Bible Study, or program. The primary focus of each meeting is to address and determine needs and projects that benefit the church, community, and individuals that may have specific needs.
The Mary-Martha Circle is also actively involved with Grace's Card Ministry and supports a wide variety of differing organizations in the Church and community. Mary-Martha Circle has an open invitation to all women and welcomes new members. For more information please contact Judy Wellborn of the Grace Office.
There are currently no open job postings.
Dorcas Women's Circle
Dorcas is a welcoming community of women—both working and retired—who gather once a month for fellowship, fun, and faith. Meeting times vary to accommodate different schedules, and our gatherings often include a shared meal followed by time for connection, study, or outreach.
Everything we do centers around building meaningful relationships in Christ.
Over the years, we’ve shared in all kinds of experiences—from sewing school backpacks for Lutheran World Relief to beach and mountain retreats, from book swaps and movie nights to Bible study and service projects. Some favorite moments have included:
-
Wild Women’s Retreat at Lutheridge
-
Women’s Beach Retreat in Hilton Head
-
Johnson House clean-up
-
Bible on Tap
-
Ugly Sweater Christmas Party
-
Bowling, picnics, hikes, and more!

Whether you’re looking to grow in faith, find new friendships, or simply enjoy time with a supportive group of women, you’re warmly invited to join us. Come as you are, and make it your own!
All are welcome!

Wild Women
Each year, a vibrant cohort of women from Grace Lutheran journeys to Lutheridge Camp and Conference Center for a weekend of inspiration, reflection, and sacred sisterhood.
Our Wild Women of Grace retreat is a space to reconnect—with God, with one another, and with the Spirit moving in our lives. Through empowering conversations, shared laughter, prayer, and rest, we explore how God continues to speak, stir, and reimagine our faith in bold and beautiful ways.
Whether it’s your first time or a yearly tradition, you’re invited to come away for a weekend that nourishes the soul and celebrates the wild, wonderful gift of being women of grace.
