Hospitality House

Hospitality House, a non-profit crisis agency, serves seven counties (Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, Yancey) in northwestern North Carolina helping those living in crisis, poverty and homelessness rebuild their lives. The organization provides housing, nutrition and prevention in a safe, nurturing and healthy environment.

Grace helps support the mission and ministry of Hospitality House by providing and serving one meal a month and by providing financial and other support throughout the year.

If you are interested in cooking or serving at Hospitality House, contact coordinator Laura Just. All are welcome!

Hospitality House Menus

In an age where computers and technology connect people all across the world in a mere nanosecond, it seems unreal that some folks are still struggling to find food each day. There are many reasons as to why these struggles exist; some of those reasons are good while other reasons seem illogical and impossible to understand.

Amidst all of the questions as to why such basic needs are present in our community comes Jesus Christ and His continued words of compassion to those who have so very little.  When we look at Christ's journey on earth, we see Jesus does not enable those who are in need but rather provides a way for folks to be cared for until they are strong enough to walk on their own two feet.

The many ministries of Hospitality House daily seek ways to walk with those who desire to break the cycle of generational poverty.  For those who are in this vicious cycle, their decision will have to be a personal decision to grow and move past being broken.  They will, hopefully, at some point, reach out and choose to live a different kind of life not only for themselves but also for their children.  In the meantime, the Grace family holds our neighbors who are struggling through prayer, presence, and food.  On this page you will find the needs still present for the upcoming meals.  Please prayerfully consider where God might be calling you to reach out to help!  Serving our neighbors begins at 5:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.  Know that you are always welcome and most certainly needed!

If you have any questions about this ministry, or would like to help in any way, please feel free to give us a call.
