The Fire Wood Ministry prepares and gives firewood free to people who heat with wood, but cannot afford to buy it. The Health & Hunger Coalition helps select the people who receive it. We do the work and pay all the costs. 

Most of the raw wood now comes from our friends in the professional tree industry who want to support our volunteer efforts. 
 
A special note of appreciation to our volunteers, many of whom are from outside groups the Boone area, App State, Lees-McRae, other churches, and other charities and agencies. 

 

We typically work on Tuesdays. All skills levels are needed.
